I’d like to have a quick brainstorming session to collect (and share) ideas about the specific aspects of Digital Humanities that pertain to Jewish Studies. Are there any, or do they all fold under the general scope of the humanities?
I am interested at taking a hard look at content-specific resources; content-specific challenges (how relevant content is presented online); relevant practices and methodologies; language (and script) matters; instructional uses of social media; etc.

I am the Curator of The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life and a Lecturer in the Department of Music at UC Berkeley. My technology-related work includes: establishing the Jewish Digital Narratives platform, the integrated archives-library-museum database and the Drupal website at The Magnes; using Wordpress and social media in my teaching; and mentoring academic colleagues in the digital humanities. I like text mining, metadata, linked open data and all the rest, but studying and teaching with and about primary sources is were it all begins.
